MUNICIPAL PHARMACY N.6, FERRARA

The Pharmathek automated warehouse projected for the Ferrara Municipal Pharmacy n.6 was installed during the renovation of the furniture.

To make the sales area as large as possible, the robot was placed in an elevated space created specifically for its installation. The references are delivered to the counter from the upper floor to the ground floor through the use of two helipharma augers in white, perfectly integrated with the furniture.

THE PHARMACIST’S FEEDBACK

Interview with Doctor Riccardo Zavatti, General Manager at the time of installation, and with Paola Nocenti, director of the Municipal Pharmacy n.6 in Ferrara

Doctor Zavatti, what led you to automate the Municipal Pharmacy n. 6 relying on Pharmathek?

First of all, it must be said that our pharmacy automation process had already begun in 2002. Over time, however, we felt the need to change robots to install one that better responds to the needs of our pharmacy. We needed the most suitable solution for our pharmacy’s needs. To find the answers I needed I contacted some colleagues who had already installed a Pharmathek robot.

After carefully analysing all the solutions available on the market and their characteristics, the winner from this comparison was Pharmathek.

And I am delighted with this choice!

Doctor Nocenti, do you agree?

Absolutely. For functionality and for the quality-price ratio, the Pharmathek robot was the winner among the competitors.

Since the installation, efficiency has improved, especially in regard to the time saved in the loading phase of the warehouse. Moreover, thanks to the robot, the percentage of error due to the human factor has been eliminated.

What is the most appreciated features of the Pharmathek robot?

Surely the automatic loader, which represented a real leap in quality. And the space that the automated warehouse allows you to save: we have decided to put almost all the references inside the robot and now the pharmacy is much more spacious, both in the sales area and in the back-office. That allows as to optimize the time available.
