PERFUME MUSEUM

In the Great Museum of Perfume, which celebrates the art of French perfumery, a robotic warehouse has been installed within the shop area with the aim of offering a completely innovative shopping experience.

Equipped with a glass wall through which users can admire the robot in action, the robot is equipped with a mechanical gripper that picks up and delivers the product in special rotating glass containers placed on the front of the robot, in direct contact with the public.

The order is placed via tablet and transmitted to the robot via Wi-Fi.

FEEDBACK OF GUILLAUME DE MAUSSION, DIRECTOR OF THE MUSEUM

Why did you choose to automate the perfume museum store?

We chose to equip ourselves with the Pharmathek robot because we wanted to offer a completely innovative shopping experience. Today, to stand out on the market, it is important to offer not only products but experiences. And this is exactly what the robot does: it spectacularizes the delivery phase of the product, creating an enormous added value, both in terms of customer experience and image of the store, now perceived as highly innovative and modern.

In addition to this, there are undeniable advantages from the point of view of inventory management, such as constantly updated inventory, a compact and always tidy warehouse and a substantial reduction in thefts.

What led you to rely on Pharmathek for the automation of your pharmacy?

We chose Pharmathek first of all because it is a highly reliable company that has given us a very high level of security, very important for those who, in a boutique like ours, cannot afford to have delays or difficulties.

Second, because it offered us a very high level of both technical and aesthetic customizations. Thanks to their commitment we have invented a new way of delivering the product through rotating glass containers, very elegant, and which allow to deliver the product directly to the customer.

How does the robot work, practically?

It’s very simple: the sales assistants help customers in choosing the fragrance and then, using the tablet at their disposal, they order the product and the quantity by sending the order to the robot via Wi-Fi.

As soon as the order is placed, the mechanical gripper is activated, moves along the various shelves and picks up the ordered product, then placing it inside the desired glass container. Once the container has rotated on itself, the customer can pick up the product with their own hands.
