Doctor Carmignoto, why did you decide to automate your pharmacy?
We decided to automate the pharmacy because we needed to keep up with the times and, having decided to renovate it, this was the best time to do it.
What led you to decide to rely on Pharmathek for the automation of your pharmacy?
I meticulously analysed the solutions offered by all the possible suppliers on the market and I could see how all the companies had points of strengths and points of weakness, but in the end I decided to rely on Pharmathek.
What has changed since the robot was installed?
The workflow has changed. In particular, there are three main advantages that my staff and I have notice.
The first is certainly serenity in work. As an example, since I own two pharmacies, sometimes it was difficult to remember the positioning of a product in both pharmacies. But now I don’t have to recall anything since the collection of the products is up to Rocco (this is how we jokingly call our mechanical gripper).
The second main advantage is related to the management of expiring dates, which now takes place automatically.
The third is the additional time we spent at the counter with our clients: while we wait for the robot to deliver the right product we can communicate with the customer, investigate his further needs and then propose the products aimed at satisfying them. This made it possible in a nutshell to improve the profitability of the pharmacy.
We have only recently started using the robot, but it has already convinced us with the good results.
