Pharmacy Massa is equipped with a Pharmathek automated warehouse.

The installation, according to the desire of its owner, Doctor Rebecchi, took place on the occasion of the pharmacy renovation.

In order to meet Doctor Rebecchi’s expectation, the robot was installed in the basement. This allowed him to recover a lot of surface to dedicate to the sales area.

Inside the Pharmathek robot, there is an Euclid3D mechanical gripper, an exclusive patent that features a temporary storage unit.

The automated warehouse of Pharmacy Massa has two exits painted metallic grey, which perfectly integrate from and aesthetic point of view with the shelves placed behind the counter for product display.

Doctor Rebecchi, why did automate your pharmacy?

We have chosen to install a robotic warehouse mainly to increase the area dedicated to the public, and secondly to have a better reorganization of workflows and product management.

 

What led you to rely on Pharmathek for the automation of your pharmacy?

At the Italian fair exhibition: when I saw the Euclid3D mechanical gripper and I learnt its characteristics and how it works, I realized that it was the technology I wanted to have in my pharmacy.

I also appreciated that Euclid3D mimics the work of the pharmacist: it doesn’t deliver only one product at the time like many other mechanical grippers but it delivers many in one single trip like a pharmacist who returns with his arms full of products.

 

What has the workflow changed since the robot was installed?

Now in the pharmacy we can count on a valid help that allows us to be able to operate in a more orderly way, with fewer thoughts. In fact, we have freed ourselves from a task of pure logistics that used a lot of energy, and now we only perform purely professional activities.
